Campers will participate in a variety of physical and arts & crafts activities, as well as attend field trips and be entertained by educational presenters. Each session will be offered according to an overall theme which will ensure that you are signing your child up for activities that they will enjoy. Field trips costs and a free Camp Fremont t-shirt are included in the tuition costs. Come see how much fun Camp Fremont can be!

PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISER
The Parks & Recreation Commission is pleased to announce two opportunities for the community to help raise money for our Memorial Fields Playground Fund. The goal of this fund is to purchase additional “toddler-friendly” equipment and to provide a shaded area for picnics and resting.
First, the Commission is selling wooden slat pickets that can be engraved with a name or personal message. These pickets will be used to finish the construction of the fence around the playground area. For more information about purchasing a picket, please contact Nicole at nicolecloutier725@yahoo.com or download the application at www.fremont.nh.gov and then click on “Parks and Recreation”. There are photographs of the pickets on the website as well.
Second, the Commission is selling vinyl banners to local businesses that will be hung around Memorial Fields throughout the 2008 recreation season. The banners measure 3ft high by 4ft wide. Colored backgrounds are also available. The banners will be hung near the concession stand and on the appropriate sporting fields from April to November. Pictures of banners and an order form may be found at www.fremont.nh.gov under the “Parks and Recreation” link. For more information on banner sales, please contact Sarah at lamirandes@verizon.net or (978) 835-6161. Pricing is available on the forms, or by contacting one of the members.
As the weather warms up, please plan a visit to the Playground at Memorial Fields. We are working hard to make this an enjoyable feature for all the members of the Fremont community.
BALL FIELD VANDALISM
We have seen an increase in the vandalism at Memorial Fields on Main Street. This has caused the Town to restrict access and change some of the usage arrangements. Damage and repeated vandalism in the restrooms has caused them to be locked out completely with installation of a porta-toilet. Some items have been damaged beyond repair, and some new improvements this summer have been destroyed by rocks and careless, malicious behavior.
This vandalism costs taxpayers money and is potentially criminal activity. If you see anything suspicious, please call the Fremont Police Department at 895 2229 during business hours, or the dispatch center at 679 2225. Of course, you can always call 911 to report any emergency or suspicious activity as well.
Please help us watch over this important investment for our community, children and adults alike. This park is a community area and we want to keep it safe and in good condition. Thank you for your help.
The PLAYGOUND IS COMPLETE!
Thanks to many volunteers and businesses who supported this project over the last three years, it is finally done. The new playground is located at Memorial Fields. Please take a ride up to check it out. Special thanks to Lennon Corp for donating many hours of site work, labor and hauling sand back and forth. Also Tim Small for equipment use spreading the wood chips. Many people turned up to help install the playground and without people like you, projects like this don't happen. So thanks again to all who made this possible. – Renee King, Fremont Parks & Recreation
