Effective immediately through at least April 6, 2020 the Fremont Town Clerk Tax Collector’s Office is on Restricted Access by appointment only.
Motor vehicle renewals, dog licenses, and vital record requests can be processed online, via the green drop box outside of the Townhall main entrance or through the mail. You are encouraged to utilize our online services, mail services, or drop box at 295 Main Street.
If you need a new motor vehicle registration, a transfer, a marriage license or any other service which must be completed in person, email our office at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment. I will be checking office email continually throughout the day, every weekday.
PLEASE NOTE, ALL 20 DAY TEMPORARY PLATES IN THE STATE OF NH ISSUED AFTER MARCH 1, 2020 HAVE NOW BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 30, 2020. This should help with all new vehicle purchases in NH, you DO NOT have to register until April 30th. If you have a temporary plate which now expires on April 30, 2020, you will not be given an appointment at this time. Appointments will be granted for emergencies only.
If you are able to utilize the drop box:
*Please leave your registration renewal notices with checks (please do not leave cash) inside of an envelope marked, “Town Clerk” or a self-addressed envelope with “Town Clerk” in the return address line for us to recognize where it’s going.
*For dog licenses leave the same type of envelope with your dogs’ name(s) on the memo line for reference. Dogs who are spayed/neutered are $7.50, unaltered are $10.
*For taxes please leave the property address or map and lot on the memo line.
Please feel free to email: email@example.com or call (603) 895-8693 x 307 for any questions or concerns. Please leave a message if you don’t get an answer right away so that we may return your call as soon as possible. I will still be coming in daily behind closed doors for social distancing and processing all online, mail-in or drop box transactions and mailing proper correspondence DAILY.
We will continue to monitor the situation and I will be in contact with the Town Clerk’s Association and the DMV to gain perspective and knowledge on updated information. I will share any change in plan as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding in this challenging time and please be safe for you and yours.
Sincerely, Nicole Cloutier, Fremont Town Clerk Tax Collector
