Town Events and Happenings:  Updated frequently!  

Thanks to all who participated and came out to watch the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony.  It was a great day!  The program and parade lineup are attached below if you want to review and help us start getting ready for 2024!  

Memorial Day week - REMINDER that Trash and Recycling on a ONE DAY DELAY THIS WEEK.

Thursday June 1 - The Land Use Office is CLOSED.  She will return Tuesday June 6.  Leave a message at 603 895 3200 x 306.

111A Bridge Repairs - The NH DOT is currently doing repairs on the bridge.  ONLY ONE LANE IS OPEN with traffic signals in place.

Town Clerk Office hours:  Mon/Fri 9-noon, Tues 8-noon, Weds 3-7 pm and Thurs 9 am to 5 pm.  DOG LICENSES were due April 30th.  AVOID ADDITIONAL FINES AND LICENSE your dogs as soon as possible with the Clerk!  Beginning July 3 the OFFICE IS CLOSED ON MONDAYS THROUGH LABOR DAY. 

First issue property tax bills are in the mail.  First issue is due July 1, 2023.  On Saturday July 1 the Tax Collector will be open from 7:30 am to 10:00 am to accept payments.

The Fremont Food Pantry will be open for drop-in food pickups (Fremont Residents) on Wednesday June 21, 2023 from 6-7 pm.  You do not need to have an appointment.  They are still available for emergency baskets, but suggest anyone who needs food come by on the scheduled date.  The Pantry is located in the basement of the Fremont Town Hall at 295 Main Street.    The next drop in date is Wednesday July 19.

SPRING EVENTS

The Fremont Parks & Recreation Commission is increasing by two volunteer positions following the vote at Town Meeting.  Please see the posting attached below for more information and how to apply!

FREMONT FOOD PANTRY - Anyone who needs assistance from the Fremont Food Pantry should contact Renee at (603) 244 1404 or Kim at (207) 370 5096.  The best way to make a donation to those in need of Pantry services is with a supermarket gift card or check.  Monetary/card donations can be dropped off at the Town Hall drop box or mailed in care of the Select Board’s Office to PO Box 120, Fremont NH  03044-0120.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FOOD OUTSIDE after hours as it may freeze or spoil before we get it.

PRIVATE WELLS:  There is information and assistance from the State for residents experiencing well issues due to the drought.  Click here for more information on the Fremont Health Department website page.

TRASH REMINDER:  Your toter must allow the top to be fully closed in order for pickup.  If you have bags sticking out or overflow, it will not be collected.  Consider another recycling bin if you need space in your toter.  All trash must be bagged within the toter.   Use discretion when putting out recyclables.  Plastics will blow in the wind, and paper that gets wet in the rain is NO longer recyclable.
