Town Events and Happenings:  Updated frequently!  

The 2023 Annual Town Report books are here!  They are available at the Town Hall, Town Hall upstairs on the back porch, Fremont Public Library, Fremont Safety Complex, Ellis Schook, 1820 Market and Village Market.  It is available online 24/7.

Town Clerk Office hours:  Mon 9 am to 12 noon; Tues 8 am to noon; Weds 3 to 7 pm; Thurs 9 am to 5 pm and Fri 9 am to 12 noon.   

Fremont PD reports an uptick in thefts from unlocked motor vehicles.  Please keep your vehicles locked and if you see anything suspicious, please contact the Fremont Police Department at 603 895 2229.  Call 911 in any emergency.

The vehicular gate at the entrance to Fremont's Memorial Park at 563 Main Street has been locked due to increasing acts of vandalism.  Anyone wishing to use the park will need to walk in, and it will only be accessible until the first snowfall.  Cemeteries in Fremont are closed for the winter.

March 24, 2024 - Parks & Rec Easter Egg Hunt - Ellis School at 12 noon.  Have some early spring fun, collect eggs and get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny.  Ages 0-10, don't forget to bring a basket!

April 5, 2025 - Open House to celebrate retirement of Select Board Member Neal Janvrin will be held at the Ellis School Gym from 4:30 to 7 pm.  A presentation will take place at 6 pm.  For questions, to help, or for more information, contact Heidi Carlson at hcarlson@fremont.nh.gov or 603 418 4416.

April 15, 2024 at 12 noon - DEADLINE to file a 2024 Credit or Exemption Application form with the Select Board.  A postmark of 4/15/2024 is acceptable but forms left in the drop box after the office closes can not be accepted.  

May 4 - Town Wide Yard Sale.  Registration form can be accessed from the link at the bottom of the page.  Complete and submit with your check for $20 to be advertised on the map.  Registration deadline is Friday April 26 by 12 noon.  Mail it in or drop off at the Select Board's Office at the Town Hall.  

April 22 through May 18 - Litter Free Roadside Cleanup - We will post here when the blue bags are available for pickup.  Clean up roadsides in Fremont and put blue bags in your toter, or deliver them on Bulky Day (May 18 from 8 am - 12 noon) to the HW Shed.

May 18 - Spring Bulky Day - Fremont Highway Shed at 113 Danville Road from 8:00 am to 12 noon.  Flyer will be posted in April.

May 26 - The Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will begin at 9 am on Sunday May 26, 2024.  The Parade kicks off at Sandown Road Bridge with a tribute and proceeds down Main Street to the collect all of your youth marchers at Spaulding Road.  Children, bicycles, Scouts, sports teams, etc should all park at the Spaulding Road lot and join the parade at Spaulding Road and Main Street.  The Parade then proceeds to Village Cemetery, where the ceremony will take place.  Veteran's who need a ride must contact the Select Board's Office in advance by calling 603 895 2226.  Anyone wishing to help or participate it also urged to reach out to us as soon as possible as we are already organizing the event.  

May 27 - All Town Office are CLOSED in observance of Memorial Day.  There is a one day delay in trash and recycling collections during the Memorial Day week.

The Fremont Parks & Recreation Commission has increased by two volunteer positions.  Please see the posting attached below for more information and how to apply!  We are still looking for candidates.

FREMONT FOOD PANTRY - Anyone who needs assistance from the Fremont Food Pantry should contact Renee at (603) 244 1404 or Kim at (207) 370 5096.  The next drop-in date is Wednesday March 20, 2024 from 6 to 7 pm or Friday April 5 from 9 to 10 am.  The best way to make a donation to those in need of Pantry services is with a supermarket gift card or check.  Monetary/card donations can be dropped off at the Town Hall drop box or mailed in care of the Select Board’s Office to PO Box 120, Fremont NH  03044-0120.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FOOD OUTSIDE after hours as it may freeze or spoil before we get it.  Moving forward, the Pantry will do OPEN HOUSE dates on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of each month from 6-7 pm and on the FIRST FRIDAY of each month from 9-10 am.

TRASH REMINDER:  All trash must be bagged within the toter.  Use discretion when putting out recyclables.  Plastics will blow in the wind, and paper that gets wet in the rain is NO longer recyclable.  We will post more information on the updated toter program once it becomes available.  This will replace the smaller bins which have been used in recent years for recycling.  Continue to use bins or another container (tote or laundry basket) until the recycling toters arrive.
