Town Events and Happenings:  Updated frequently!   

Updates at the Town Clerks Office.  Credit Cards:  A credit card will be accepted as a form of payment for Town Clerk transactions (dogs, vitals, vehicle registrations). There will be a 2.99% fee added to each transaction at the window.  One Check: The State and Town fees for Motor vehicle transactions will now be on ONE check made payable to the Town of Fremont.  

TOWN CLERK TAX COLLECTOR Office hours:  Monday 8 am to 2 pm; Tuesday 12 noon to 6 pm; Wednesday 8 am to 2 pm; Thursday 12 noon to 5 pm; CLOSED Friday.

First issue tax bills are all out in the mail.  There was an issue printing and some bills have the interest percentage (8%) hand-written on them.  Bills are due July 1, 2026.

June 10 - 250th America's Birthday celebration events beginning at 6 pm at the 1800 Meetinghouse.  Click on the event program below.

July 1 - First issue tax bills are due.  The Tax Collector is open from 8 am to 2 pm.

July 3 - All Town Offices CLOSED in observance of Independence Day.  NO DELAY in Trash & Recycle Collections this week.

ALL TRASH & RECYCLING IS DUE AT THE CURB by 6 am on your collection day.  Trash and recycle toters MUST BE FIVE FEET apart, and five feet from any other structure, obstacle, fence, etc.  If you put your items out late, you will not be collected.   ***Reminder that collection with the recycle toters (yellow top) is underway and NO other recycling containers will be picked up.*** Containers do blow over and WM will not return, so use caution on windy days.  You can place a brick or small rock on the opening edge of the toter to keep it closed and it will "shake" off when it's picked up, or use a thin layer of masking tape as well, as long as contents are heavy enough to break through it when dumped, so that contents will fall in to the truck.  

SENIOR COFFEE & GAMES  - This weekly event will be held on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Fremont Public Library.  The theme is “fun and games” where seniors are invited to play cards, Scrabble, Cribbage, Backgammon and more!  Come out for a few hours of fun and meet new people.  Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided.  Enjoy great conversations and games!
